Position Job Title: Assistant/Associate Professor, Chemistry (Continuing)

Location: Niagara Falls, Ontario (Onsite)

Reports To: Department of Science


Description:


University of Niagara Falls Canada invites at the applications for the position at Faculty level. Applicants for the Assistant/Associate Professor, Chemistry (Continuing) must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in Chemistry or a related field by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter. The selected candidate will be tasked with delivering specialized chemistry lectures, seminars, and laboratories to undergraduate students. Ranking will decided on experience and qualifications.


A proven record of excellence in teaching and a strong portfolio in general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry are prerequisites. Expertise in course development and curriculum design is essential, ensuring alignment with academic standards and innovative teaching methodologies. Oversight of all aspects of course delivery, including lectures, labs, and assessments, is expected. Collaboration with the academic team is vital for enhancing and updating the chemistry curriculum, incorporating the latest industry trends and advancements.


The candidate is expected to provide academic program guidance and support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Monitoring student progress and implementing interventions as needed are integral components of the role.


Engagement in scholarly activities, including research and publications, is a requirement. The successful candidate should stay current with developments in the field of chemistry and continue professional development to stay abreast of different pedagogical practices and approaches.

Active participation in departmental and institutional committees is essential for contributing to continuous improvement and academic excellence.
